I envisioned Motivate Message when I was coaching a high school football team. My team did not have the best talent but when focused and motivated they could win games. I started sending my players daily text messages and it became a battle cry. They won their division and beat teams that were far more talented. I worked hard to instill the desire and the belief that they could win and that failure was not an option. It was a simple thing that truly affected their lives. Players from that team still contact me today to say thanks for everything. That was extremely gratifying. That experience brought Motivate Message to reality. Everyone needs someone in their corner, a daily pick me up.
Vince Lombardi said,” hard work is the price we pay for success. I think you can accomplish anything if you are willing to pay the price.”
We need these reminders. The power of these daily reminders motivated and changed the lives of my teams not only on the field, but also in the real world. That feeling was overwhelming. It helped me to realize that motivation is very powerful and the effect it has on people is priceless and life changing. Motivate Message was designed to give nuggets of encouragement to everyone, every day.
At the same time, our society has become dependent on cell phones. Without the deliverability of the message and the ease of access, the motivational message would be lost. Very Important; Emails are deleted, tweets are ignored because of the volume of tweets received, and app downloads require additional work. Everyone checks a short text message. They say less than 15% of social media posts are viewed and nearly 100% of text messages are read. Hence, Motivate Message, short encouraging snippets delivered via text message, was born. Our goal is to impact lives, one text at a time.
